Nothing Better Then Carding My First 1
By Scotty P On 21 October 2011
After 20+ years of golfing, I finally hit my first hole in one. It was a cold fall morning in WI (I'm actually from MN, however I was playing with a good friend at his club) - about 45 degrees and windy when we started. The round wasn't going quite as well as I had wanted... until we got to the 12th tee box, which is a par 3 measuring about 150 yards. On this day it was measuring 148 yards (I know this because I have a Bushnell Pinseeker). 2 of my 3 playing partners knocked their shots to around 10 feet each. My natural ball flight is a slight draw (right to left). We had a stiff breeze slightly into us, primarily from the left. I decided on my 8 iron as it's my 155 yard club. I determined if I put the ball a little back in my stance and hit a lower trajectory/knockdown type shot, I could play it right at the hole and the breeze would hold it on line. I hit it pure, right at the flag. It landed about 8 feet over the pin and slowly backed up and dropped in the cup. All 4 of us were screaming like little school girls for it to drop, AND IT DID!!
I used my Titlest AP2 8 iron and a Titlest Pro V1 #8. The attached picture is of me pulling the ball out of the hole.
