Number 1

I was recently playing with a couple of friends after work at a great local club. We began our round just like any other. I was hitting the ball pretty decent little did I know that I would shortly be hitting it even better. We appoached the 151yd par-3 7th to find the wind slightly in our face and the pin placed on the front half of the green. I grabbed an 8-iron from my bag, took aim, and fired away with a solid high fade. As we watched my friend began yelling gin and tonic no fruit, gin and tonic no fruit. I began to laugh thinking I would have a nice short birdie putt at best. The ball landed about 6 feet past the pin with a good amount of juice on it. The ball pulled back a few feet and began to trickle back down the slope towards the hole. The funny thing was I never really though it had a chance to go in until all of a sudden it disappeared. I looked at my buddies in complete disbelief right before we all erupted into a loud cheer. It was a pretty awesome feeling. I was so amped up that I could barely manage a normal swing for the next few holes. I finally regained my composure enough to finish with a very respectable 75. Definatley one of my favorite golfing memories to date...And yes I bought my buddies all the gin and tonic they could handle...No fruit!
