5-13-12 I was playing in our Sunday skins game at fox creek in Hempstead , Texas -- we teed off at 8am-- holes one thru 3 were all bogeys -- hole # 4 par--# 5 bogey--# 6 par and then the magical #7 a 150 yard par 3 to an elevated green with a 10-15 mph wind in my face--the guys said closest to the pin for a dollar--our usual bet-- and a 3 hole carry over on skins-- the first guy hit and left it short-- the second guy hit to about 15 feet--my turn-- i step up and think i want their dollars---what club should i hit-- i decide on the 8 iron-- tee is about 4 feet behind the tee box-- looked to the right part of the green-- pin was just in the right middle of the green-- i think if i just hit to the right side--it will trickle to the hole-- i step up and take my set-up -- practice swing-- then i pulled the trigger-- clean smooth swing and bam---the ball had a high flight and bouncend about 10 fee from the hole and rolled in like it had eyes-- great feeling-- had to buy the beer again--the final score was a 76 so i was a happy camper
