It was a clear sunny day on August 10, 2012 at Rochelle Country Club in Rochelle, IL. It was the annual Maplehurst Play Day where all the local farmers gather for a golf outing before harvest begins. I was with my father (Brian Carlson), Roger Carlson (no relation), and Doug Halberstadt. We had started on hole 13 with a shotgun start (scramble format). We weren't so well after 3 holes with a +1. I approached the tee box first with my PW and viewed the placement of the flag and wind direction. I took two practice swings and addressed the ball. The ball was struck well as it slightly faded from left of the flag. The ball landed on the front left of the green. It took two hops and then gradually rolled up into the hole. We all started jumping and hollering. It was trully a momentous day that I'll never forget. It makes it especially tremendous since my father was able to see me hit it in. Thanks Titleist!
