Par for the Cure

While playing in an outing called Par For the Cure that raises money to help breast Cancer patients and survivors I had my first hole in one! On the 17th hole and the Taylor Meadows golf course in Taylor, Michigan, I hit a Titleist DT True Soft. The card lists the hole at 126 yards from the middle tees from which we were playing. The hole was near the front of the green and I had the yardage at about 115 yards over a marsh with growth that blocked the putting service from our sight. With my 56 degree Titleist wedge, I was the second of my foursome to hit and knew that if the distance was right, I would have a very nice shot and hoped for a short birdie putt. Upon arriving at the green I was surprised to not find my ball on the green. I said to my friends "is it possible I hit it over the green?". They assured me that was not likely and suggested looking in the hole and to my amazement, there it was! In the 10 years of this golf outing, that was the first hole in one and was an amazing feeling.
