Priceless

It seems I've replayed this shot a thousand times in my mind -- my own little video of my first ace. It all happened last week, in a tournament, on the 18th hole (we started on the 14th) at Wyckoff CC in Holyoke, MA. We had this down hill hole measured at 120 yards to the back of the green. The pin was back, which means an easy 8-iron for me. I noted the slope of the green, pictured my shot and executed it just as I envisioned.

I and my team were in awe at the nice shot, and as we watched the ball roll toward the pin, the excitement grew. For an instant, I lost the ball, and thought it snuck behind the pin...until everyone started yelling that it's in the hole!!! We screamed, cheered, high-fived, hugged, jumped, laughed, cried and everything in between as we celebrated this feat!!!

As we approached the green, the spotters were equally excited as they said they never had a hole-in-one in the 50-year history of their tournament, AND that I won a hot tub! Although that was great, nothing was more satifying or priceless than seeing that ProV smiling at me from the hole -- proof positive of my 1st hole-in-one.

Thanks, Titleist, for being party to this most memorable golf experience. I'm sure we'll be doing this again some day. :)
