Pro Am Ace

I am 51 years old and have been playing golf since I was 5. Through the years I have been anywhere from a 8 down to a 3 handicap once I got serious about my game. A couple years ago I joined Skagit Golf & Country Club and wanted to get more serious about my game and started to play more. I had never had a hole in one but have had several very close calls. Yesterday while playing in a Pro-Am at Lake Padden in Bellingham, WA I had my first...a tough uphill par 3 measured at 160 yds. to an elevated green that sloped from to back and left to right. My playing partners Professional Craig Welty, and amateurs Joe Birringer and Homer Dalgleigsh witnessed my the shot. I used my 7 iron couple with a #3 Titleist ProV1x - the shot come down on the upper left portion of the green and funneled to the hole for my first ace ever. That was pretty cool, however the fun was not done. We had a second group from our club in the Pro-Am who started on the opposite 9. They had sent us a quick iPhone shot of an eagle they had made on a par 4 earlier...and then later sent us a shot of Rod Hendricks, another SVGC club member picking his ball out of the hole and holding up two fingers...yes, he also made a hole in one on the same hole! It was Rod's second ace in his golfing career.
