Rons first Hole In One
By Ronald M On 11 January 2012
Was playing our usual Tuesday game with the guys at Heron Creek Golf and Country Club in North Port, Florida. We had 68 players for the days game, a modified stable-ford scoring system. Four man teams chosen at random by handicap so each team has an A, B, C and D player.
I missed a short birdie putt on hole one, made par. Also par on hole 2. On hole three, I hit my eight iron very high and saw it land in front of the cup, however, a slight high spot on the green would not let our foursome see what the ball did after it hit the green. Upon inspection of the green, no ball was visible near the cup. Jim McKinney, an ex Navy Captain found the ball in the hole. The shot was very gratifying however I did not play well the rest of the round....just couldn't seem to concentrate. Shot 86 for the 18 holes. I am still smiling. This was my first.
