The Schlitz Open consists of 12 guys that have been getting together for the past 35 years for a week end of golf on Cape Cod. For the past year I was taking some serious ribbing for messing up a very good round by making a poor course management decision and the mantra became don't do a Danny. After taking my DCI 8 iron on the ninth hole at Dennis Highlands,138yds slightly uphill and using a NXT Tour S optic yellow and scoring my first ace now doing a Danny has become a good thing. Making my first hole in one was a definite thrill but what made it even better was doing it with this bunch of guys. It was also the first one for this group in all the years we have been playing.
