I decided to play the forward men's tee to be with my playing partner in the cart. At 64, that was OK with me. We estimated the yardage at 105 to 110 yds. with the pin up front. I pulled out my PW, took a couple of practice swings and took the shot.
I followed the ball flight perfectly straight toward the pin. The green was on an upslope so I could see the hole perfectly. It looked like the ball hit once in front of the pin, hit the pin and dropped in. At the hole, I verified from the ball mark that it did indeed hit about 6 inches in front of the hole and in. I looked in the hole and there was my Pro V1. Best day of my long and adventurous golfing career!!
