Got my first hole in one on September 18, 2016 playing at the beautiful Forest Creek Golf Club in Pinehurst, NC where the course is always in great shape and the staff is just wonderful. I was playing with a great group of guys that gather each September in Pinehurst for some good golf and good company. In my foursome was Ron Bennett, Gene Godbold and Steve Mauldin (cart mate). It occurred on the Forest Creek North Course on Hole #6 - a 154 yard Par 3. I hit my Titelist ProV1x into the cup with a seven iron while Steve had the Amazing Rythym Aces blaring out “So Into You”! I don’t know who was more excited - Steve or me!
