I had my first hole-in-one this past weekend on Sunday December 21 on hole #4 at Stoneleigh Golf Club located in Round Hill VA. This is one of the most dfficult par 3's I have played in my 40+ years of golfing due to the multi-tiered green which befuddles most of our membership. Normally the goal is to try and get 3 and move on but on Sunday I hit a beautiful high drawing 6-iron into a center front pin playing 174 yards uphill. The green is elevated and you normally end up over the green but as I walked up the hill I could not see my ball which usually runs over. I looked around and finally decided to look in the cup and to my shock, there was my Titelist 8 smiling up at me! After watching the horrors over the years including one member who six-putted that green I had finally defeated the beast! I don't expect any more miracles but can say I saw one on December 21, 2014....
