The Cove

On October 17, 2015, while playing with a good friend we approached the 7th green, at the Cove an over the lake par 3 hole at the Lodge of the Four Seasons, Lake Ozark MO. The hole was 154 yards and a slight into the face breeze. The pin was mid green and in the shade, just before noon. I hit a knock-down, choked up 6 iron pure and thought that the flight which was flat would carry to the back bunker. My friend, Bill, thought the shot was in the jar and I still doubted such a result for it was totally obscured by shade at my angle. When we got to the green I still thought my ball lied in the sand, incredulously taking a sand wedge to the green with me. I looked in the sand not to find my ball and peered near the pin where my friend was smiling big and pointing in the hole, where I found my Club logo #1 Pro V1, my first hole in one in over 4 decades of golf!
