At 72 years of age, I didn't think I was "eligible" for a hole-in-one, but when we moved to the World Golf Village in Saint Augustine, FL, I met an 80 year old that had a lifetime total of 5 aces, including two at the King & Bear golf course here at the World Golf Village. And then, on May 18, 2015, it happened! A par 3 (hole 3) had the flag in the back of the green at 180 yards. I hit my ProV1 (number 2-now my favorite ProV1 number) with my 5 wood and watched the ball hit the green and thought it roled off the back. When we drove up there, I looked all over the rough over the green but couldn't find the ball. There was only ONE OTHER PLACE it could be. I cautiously peeked into the cup. There it was! After 7 years of retirement golf, I finally did it.
