The Grove Cup, my new favorite tournament
By Miguel G On 23 September 2015
On a beautiful Saturday morning, very few things are better than a round of golf with a few friends, unless you are competing with said friends on your local men's club tournament.
The pin was on the back center of the 4th green of this par-thee, playing 151 yards, so I took my 7 iron and swung as effortless as possible, as this green slops upwards away from the tee, my shot was drawing towards the flag and I felt that it had a good chance at getting on the middle of the green and roll towards the hole, as the ball was on its down trajectory; I saw the ball's path merge with the flagstick, that was a great feeling knowing I was on line, and an even more amazing feeling was to see the ball disappear. The foursome on the next tee box told us that the ball hit two feet from the hole, bounced two feet past the hole, and the backspin right in to the hole.
