This morning on the Canongate at Planterra Ridge Golf Club in Peachtree City, GA, two members of the White Knights Golf Group achieved one of golf's rarest events. First Norm Parker scored a hole in one on hole # 3.
Witnessing Norm's shot were Buck Hardy, Jim Hyman and Hank Haudenschield. Then in the group right behind them Cal Mills hit his tee shot into the hole as well. Cal's witnesses were: Dave Akins, Bob Stevens and Harold Seim.
Both golfers used a pitching wedge on the 116 yard hole and their ball of choice is the Titleist ProV1. It was the first hole in one for each of them and they have been at it for some time. Norm is 72 and Cal is 74.
Both men are members of Canongate Golf Clubs, residents of Peachtree City and natives of North Carolina. In the attached picture Norm is on the left and Cal on the right.
