In preparation for a tournament my buddy Ben was nice enough to take me out to Kalamazoo Country Club where he is a memeber to play a practice round. The 12th hole is a demanding 200 yard par 3 over a lake -- a hole which has plagued me the many times I've played it. I struck a perfect 6-iron with a 3 yard draw that stayed on line until it bounced 10 feet in front of the pin and slowed rolled to the bottom of the cup. Seeing that #1 on my Titleist Pro v1x in the bottom of the cup was heartstopping. After a night of buying drinks for my buddies I returned to work the next morning in a haze. When I walked through the door I saw a co-worker of mine who's daughter is a high school golfer -- she came running up to me and said Hanley (her daughter) made a hole-in-one last night!
