Sunday morning 10th Anniversery of that terrible day of September 11, 2001. I was having a pretty good round with my buddies Roger Stevens, John Kaylor and Richard Schmitt. John and I were partners leading Rog and Rich by only 6 points till the 15th hole. I pull out my 22 degree rescue 162 yards slightly uphill about a 10 mile an hour wind in our face.
The shot got only about 3 foot off the ground slight fade just missed the sand bunker on the left hit about 10 foot off the green rolled about 50 feet back to the left in the cup. Hole in One. My very first. As my buddies would say it was the ugliest shot they have ever seen. I guess that does not matter because it looks the same on the score card as a 1. We play a 6 point game and they had pressed and John made par, Roger had a double bogey 5 for high ball so we bunnied them for 24 points. John and I went on the beat them 42 points for the match. I am a 14 handicap John is a 19 handicap, Roger is a 7 handicap and Richard is a 23 handicap. John shot his lowest round of the year an 82, Roger shot 84, Richard shot his lowest round of the year a 93, and I shot 84 with THE HOLE IN ONE!
I will be paying $$$$$ for this Hole in One to a number of my other buddies soon. We have golf outing coming up and they all expect to collect a few free drinks after the outing as I have been informed by most of them about 20 of us get together quite often. I have purchased Titleist Pro V1 for quite awhile 8 dozen this year alone.
Thank you for letting me share my great day with your company.
