Let me set it up for you all. I am on a elevated par 4 317 yards. A slight fade around the big tree which blocks the view of the green. Closet i have been is about 20 yards. So I am thinking anywhere close I am happy and if I am on thats great. It was one of those kind of shots. Once I hit it I knew I was really cose or even on because it was headed right for it but couldnt see the result because of the tree. We drive down to the green and see a ball about 20 feet in front of the green. I am like ok I will take take that. Hopefully a chip and putt for birdie. Go to look at the ball and its not mine. Ok so where is mine? I drive it a little farther then him so I must have went over somehow. Looking all around so i am thinking great lost ball (not happy). Then i did one of those I will look in the cup like i have done a hundred times on a blind shot to find nothing..lol. I look down in there and couldnt believe my ball was in there. My first hole in one on a par 4 at that. How crazy is that. As a retired Army guy my weapon of choice a Titelist 910 D2. Might have to retire that now. Lol
