Will Sallee First Hole In One

On 8/1/12 I was playing in a high school invitational tournament - Kentucky Cup, hosted by Lexington Christian Academy. It was being played at the University Club of Kentucky-Wildcat Course - Par 71. I attend Lafayette High School in Lexington, KY. I was not having the best day on the course. I hate to admit but I was actually 11 over par through my first 11 holes. I decided I needed to dig deep and finish strong. I proceeded to finish my last 7 holes at 4 under par to shoot 78 for the day. It was not my best finish of the year so far but I managed to finish T32 out of 97.
This has been a pretty amazing year for me so far. I was blessed to be selected as one of the 81 participants of the First Tee Open in Pebble Beach in July. In addition was selected as one of five recepients of the Gay Brewer Jr. Grant. This grant has allowed me to participate in high level junior golf events such as the PGA Jr. Series and AJGA that my family would not have been able to afford. I truly have to give all of the glory to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for allowing me these opportunities this year.
I am starting my junior year in high school and I have a goal of playing division I college golf. I am currently ranked by the "Junior Golf Scoreboard" at 29th in the state of Kentucky and 8th in my graduating class of 2014.
I currently carry in my bag: Titleist CB710 irons (4-PW), Titleist 910F 15 degree 3 wood, Titleist 909H - 17 degree, Titleist Vokey Wedges - 51,56, 58, Scotty Cameron Studio Select Belly Putter cut to 39" & 8.5 Driver.
Thanks for allowing me to share my story,
Will Sallee
