I am the first female in the history of our golf course to play in the " mens noon game". I play in it occasionally and enjoy the friendly gender competition. Playing from the mens tees takes some getting used to, but I am getting better... my handicap from the white tees is 17.
My husband had never played in the noon game because of work, but he recently retired and we both decided to play this particular day. He was playing in the group ahead of me and when I hit " the shot" he saw my ball land on the green but didn't see it go in. Trust me, when I got to the cup and saw that it had gone in, he and the rest of the golf course knew I had my first hole-in-one! The hole was 148 yds., I used a 4 hybrid club and a Titleist pro V1 x ball.
It was fun taking the boys money that day, but by the time I bought a round I probably just about broke even. What a great day!!
