My son David was itching to play with his new clubs purchased for his 21st birthday on Saturday. Number 12 at Chardonnay is a beautiful, challenging hole. The pin was placed at the right rear of a green. To reach the green you must navigate through a narrow opening in the trees and over a ravine. He hit his pitching wedge the 160 yards to the top of a ridge in the green and we watched as it rolled towards the hole disappearing from view. We rushed to the green and found his ball in the cup. Needless to say-he loves his new clubs!
