ZAMA GOLF COURSE JAPAN Number 8 HOLE in ONE

Weather forecast was supposed to be a cloudy day on 7 October 2012 for the ZAMA GOLF Course in Japan. Guess the cloudy weather is defined by cold rain with a slight breeze and the temperatures between high 50's low 60's. Not dressed for this weather and already fully soaked after 7 holes , I planned on finishing just the first 9 holes and forego the back 9. The ACE shot changed all that. The Par 3 # 8th green is completely surrounded by water. Anything that misses the green will find the water. The green is divided into 4 section so birdies are difficult if you are not in the correct section of the green. As I stood on the tee box of number 8 with Mike Schoedler and Ronardo Gonzales, Gonzo took out his GPS reader and gave me a 136 yard reading, knowing Gonzo's mind games and tricks, I pulled out my Titleist AP2 # 9 iron and went for the shot. "Beautiful shot" exclaimed MIke and Gonzo, however, the misty rainy condition made it difficult to see where the ball landed. As we drove towards the green, I hear the laughter of the tandem Mike and Gonzo, I knew I may have been had with the false GPS reading as I cannot find my ball on the green. I was now thinking that my ball went into the water and so I started surveying the sides of the green for my ball until I saw the ball mark dent closed by the pin. I walked to the hole to check and VIOLA! TITLEIST PRO VI sitting nice and COMFY! Woohooo!! Now on to with my calvary with the weather to finished 18 holes. AWESOME DAY IT IS FOR GOLF!! Thanks Mike and Gonzo! You are one heck of a team to beat!
