Eun-Hee Ji Leads 7-Win-Week for Titleist Across Global Tours

LPGA | Bank of Hope LPGA Match-Play

Eun-Hee Ji (Pro V1x) claimed her sixth LPGA title with a 3-and-2 victory in Sunday’s finale of the LPGA Match-Play.

  • Ji, 36, holed out for eagle on the par-4 9th to take a 1-up lead and never looked back.
  • Fellow Pro V1x player Lilia Vu won the consolation match, 3 and 2.
  • Ji went undefeated over her seven matches in Las Vegas, going 2-0-1 in round robin play.
  • Her trip to the finals through the knockout round featured 2-and-1 (Round of 16), 7-and-6 (quarters) and 4-and-3 (semis) victories.
  • With the win, Ji – winner of the 2009 U.S. Women’s Open – earned the last spot into next week’s Women’s Open at Pine Needles.
  • Titleist was the overwhelming field favorite for golf balls with 83% of the players teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x (nearest competitor, 6%). 

DP WORLD TOUR | Dutch Open

Playing a Pro V1 Left Dot golf ball, Victor Perez closed out his second DP World Tour title with a 40-foot birdie on the fourth hole of a playoff.

  • Perez, who posted a final-round 3-under 69 to finish at 13 under, ended the week first in Strokes Gained: Around the Green (+1.39), while hitting 75% of greens in regulation.
  • “I just tried to focus on me all day, that’s all I can do, is try to keep a champion mindset and hit good shot after good shot,” he said.
  • With the win, Perez led a group of three qualifiers into this summer’s Open Championship at St. Andrews, including Adrian Meronk (Pro V1).
  • Titleist was the overwhelming field favorite for golf balls with 72% of the players teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x (nearest competitor, 15%).
  • In addition to golf balls, Titleist was also the most trusted driverironand wedge at the event.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS | KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship

Steven Alker (Pro V1) claimed his first major title Sunday, closing in 8-under 64 for a three-shot victory at Harbor Shores.

  • The 50-year-old New Zealander, 50, has now won three of the last five Champions Tour starts, to go along with two runner-up finishes this season.
  • He has finished 1-T2-1-T3-1 in his last five events.
  • The victory – the sixth-consecutive win for Titleist golf ball players on the Champions Tour – gets Alker into next year’s PGA Championship at Oak Hill. 
  • Said Alker: “I just kind of did everything well today. Just the whole package, just stayed calm and made good decisions and putted nicely and drove it better and yeah, it was – and that all adds up to 63.”
  • Titleist was the overwhelming field favorite for golf balls with 79% of the players teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x (nearest competitor, 10%).

AMATEUR | NCAA Women’s Championship

  • Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball of choice at the NCAA Women’s Championship, with 95 percent of the field playing a Pro V1 or Pro V1x. Of the 132 competitors, 125 teed up a Titleist. 
  • Ninety-eight percent (39) of the 40 players making up the eight teams that qualified for the match-play bracket played a Titleist golf ball, including four players on the title-winning team. 
  • Across both the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Championships, 92% (265 of 288) of competitors were Titleist golf ball players. That’s 24 times the nearest competitor with 11 (4%). 
  • Titleist was also the most played utility iron (4/36%), wedge (176/44%) and putter (36/27%) at the NCAA Women’s Championship.

Titleist is the overwhelming choice of college golf’s best players this week at the NCAA Championship. 

  • Ninety percent of players (140 of 156) are teeing up a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball at Grayhawk GC, more than 15 times the nearest competitor with nine.
  • Across both the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Championships, 92% (265 of 288) of competitors were Titleist golf ball players. That’s 24 times the nearest competitor with 11 (4%).
  • Titleist is also the most played driverfairwayhybridutility ironironand wedge this week in Scottsdale, Ariz:
  • Titleist is the most trusted driver with 67 players (43%), compared to 44 (28%) for the nearest competitor. TSi3 is the overwhelming field favorite with 53 players.
  • More players have also chosen Titleist fairways (70/44%) and hybrids (13/52%).
  • There are more than two times as many Titleist irons (75/48%) in play than any other brand, with more of college golf’s best gaming T100 irons than any other model. A total of 63 Titleist utilities (58%) are in play, more than three times the nearest competitor (18).
  • 58% (269) of the gap, sand and lob wedges in play are Vokey Design wedges, more than three times the nearest competitor (80/17%) – with more NEW SM9's in play than any other model.
  • Last week, across the six NCAA Men’s Regional championship sites, Titleist swept every major equipment category, with more players putting their trust in Titleist golf ballsdriversfairway metals, hybridsutility ironsironswedges and putters than any other brand.

JAPAN TOUR | Gate Way To The Open miz Open

Scott Vincent (Pro V1) completed one of the biggest comebacks in Japan Tour history, winning on the second playoff hole Sunday for his third-career JGTO title in the last 10 months.

  • Vincent, 30, rallied from seven shots back to start the final round, posting a five-birdie, one-eagle, zero-bogey 7-under 65 to force extra holes.
  • With the victory, Vincent led a group of four players earning spots in the Open Championship this July at St. Andrews, including Brad Kennedy (Pro V1x) and Titleist Brand Ambassador Justin De Los Santos.
  • It will be the first major championship appearance for both Vincent and De Los Santos.
  • “I’m really excited about playing my first major, especially at St. Andrews, the Home of Golf,” Vincent said. “It was a goal of mine, starting the year, to try to get into one of the majors. So this is special and I’m very happy.”
  • Titleist was the overwhelming field favorite for golf balls with 54% of the players teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x (nearest competitor, 21%). 

KOREAN TOUR | KB FINANCE LIIV CHAMPIONSHIP

Jiho Yang (Pro V1) captured his first career KPGA Tour victory, posting a Sunday 6-under 66 to win by two shots.

  • Yang topped a leaderboard that featured nine Titleist golf ball players in the top 10 positions.
  • Titleist was the overwhelming field favorite for golf balls with 74% of the players teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x (nearest competitor, 12%).

SUNSHINE TOUR | Sishen Classic

Deon Germishuys (Pro V1) collected his first trophy on the Sunshine Tour, closing with a tournament-best 8-under 64 to win by six shots.

  • Germishuys, 23, punctuated his eight-birdie, no-bogey Sunday with a 75-foot birdie putt on the 16th.
  • “It’s an emotional first win for me because I’ve worked so hard for everyone who has supported me. I’m really glad that I got it over the line…,” Germishuys said. “I don’t think I’ve hit the ball as well as I have under this kind of pressure. We pitched the ball on every single spot on the green where my caddie Rasta and I wanted to.”
  • Titleist was the overwhelming field favorite for golf balls with 80% of the players teeing up a Pro V1 or Pro V1x (nearest competitor, 13%).
