Henderson, Streb, Parel and Groenewald Combine for 4-Win Week for Titleist Players

The wins continue to pour in for players who trust their games to a Titleist golf ball. This weekend on the worldwide professional golf tours, in Canada, South Africa and in the United States, Titleist players captured four more global professional victories.

We saw jubilation on the LPGA Tour, as an emerging star ended a 45-year drought in capturing her national championship. As the Final Series kicked off on the Web.com Tour, two Titleist brand ambassadors came out swinging, turning out performances that ensure that they'll be playing on the PGA Tour next season. On the PGA Tour Champions, a final-round charge resulted in a maiden trip to the winners' circle and in South Africa, the champion prevailed in a four-man playoff to return to his winning ways.

In all, Titleist players have now accumulated 152 wins across the worldwide professional golf tours. That's nearly seven times more wins than the nearest competing brand with just 22.

Congratulations to all of our winners! Let’s take a look at this past week’s Titleist tour highlights…

Brooke Henderson became the first Canadian to win her country’s national championship in 45 years on Sunday, closing with a 7-under-par 65 on Sunday to capture the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open. Henderson posted a 21-under-par 267 total at Wascana Country Club in Regina, Saskatchewan, good for a four-stroke margin of victory.

"This was the first time ever that I've played my absolute best in front of the hometown crowd and on home soil," Henderson said. "I definitely feel like it was meant to be this week. Everything just kind of seemed to fall my way."

Henderson rattled off four straight birdies on the back nine to distance herself from the field. The 20-year-old averaged 286 yards off the tee for the week and she saved her best for last, launching a tee shot on No. 18 that left her a mere 69 yards from the green. She stuffed the ensuing wedge shot to three feet and when she tapped in the final birdie putt, the adoring crowd serenaded her with the national anthem, “Oh, Canada”.

"The ten minutes from when I hit my second shot in on 18 to when I made that putt and when the celebrations all happened, those are the things that I'll remember forever," Henderson said.

Angel Yin (Pro V1) shot a 4-under-par 68 in the final round to take runner-up honors and Jennifer Song (Pro V1x) shot 67 to take solo third at 15-under.

It was Henderson’s second win of the season (LOTTE Championship) and the seventh of her LPGA Tour career – all while playing the Titleist Pro V1 for her success.

She’s now just one win shy of Sandra Post's LPGA Tour record for all-time victories by a Canadian.

Henderson’s winning performance marked the 19th victory for Titleist golf ball players on the 2018 LPGA Tour, more than six times the nearest competitor with three.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Canadian Pacific Women's Open with 81% of the field (125 players in the field of 154) trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than 12 times the nearest competitor with 7% (10 players).

Robert Streb won the Web.com Tour Finals-opening Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship to regain full PGA Tour status, topping Peter Malnati (Pro V1x, TS2/9.5 driver, TS2/13.5 fairway metal, 818H2/19.0 and 23.0 hybrids, 718 AP2/5-9 irons, Vokey Design SM7 pitching/48, gap/52, sand/56 and lob/62 wedges, Newport 1.5 Fastback putter) with a par on the first hole of a playoff.

Good friends, both Streb and Malnati finished regulation play at 12-under-par 272 on Ohio State’s Scarlett Course and will be among the top 25 in the four-event series who earn PGA TOUR cards for the 2018-2019 season.

Cameron Davis (Pro V1x, 917D2/9.5 driver, 917F2/16.5 fairway metal, 718 T-MB 2-iron, 718 MB/3-PW irons, Vokey Design gap/52 and lob/60 wedges, Scotty Cameron 350 putter) finished one stroke out of the playoff, but also secured his 2018-19 PGA TOUR card with his solo 3rd finish.

Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Nationwide Children's Hospitals for Children Championship with 79% of the field (108 players in the field of 137) trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x, nine times the nearest competitor with 9% (12 players).
