Jutanugarn Rises to No.1 Ranking with Manulife LPGA Classic Win

Titleist golf ball loyalist Ariya Jutanugarn (Pro V1x) captured the Manulife LPGA Classic when she converted a 25-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a three-way sudden death playoff.

Jutanugarn closed with a 3-under-par 69 Whistle Bear Golf Club in Ontario as all three players finished regulation at 17-under-par 271.

She advanced to No. 1 in the Rolex World Rankings as a result of her first win of 2017. The first Thai player to win on the LPGA Tour, Jutanugarn garnered five victories in 2016 when she won LPGA Rolex Player of the Year honors.

“To be honest, I didn't pay attention with the ranking,” Jutanugarn said. “Today was really windy and hard to make birdie and even hit the green. I just made sure I was committed to every shot and to go out and have fun.”

Congratulations, Ariya!
