Stanley Triumphs in All-New Pro V1 Playoff at Quicken Loans National

Titleist golf ball loyalist Kyle Stanley captured the Quicken Loans National following a par on the first hole of an all-New Titleist Pro V1 sudden death playoff with fellow Titleist golf ball loyalist Charles Howell III.

The pair played the final round together, closing with matching 4-under-par 66’s to finish regulation at 7-under 273, two shots clear of two players, including Titleist golf ball loyalist Rickie Fowler (Pro V1).

Fowler fired a final round 5-under-par 65 to race up the leaderboard.

Stanley and Howell were among four players who qualified for the Open Championship, along with Titleist golf ball loyalist Sung Kang (New Pro V1x), who tied for 5th.

It was Stanley’s first win since the 2012 Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Stanley was emotional after the victory.

"There was some doubt there for a little bit. Yeah, I mean, it's no fun," Stanley said. "You certainly question if you'll get back ... and have a moment like this. I wish I didn't cry so much, to be honest, (but) it makes this pretty special, for sure."

Congratulations, Kyle!
