You are right get fitted, I always do and finally have come up with what is right for me. I finally put away my fairway and use hybrids.

917D2 (11.25*) 816h1 (16*) 816h1 (19) 913H (23.25*).

I may loose a few yards using the 16* hybrid vs a 16 Fairway…

It is the only piece of equipment you use on every shot! So get some advice on which ball would be better. But even you can do your own test by playing the V1 vs. the V1X side by side and you will probably like one better than the other.

I am an 11 and have played 712 CB’s since they came out with KBS Tour Reg 110 gm - 1/4”. When I was fit for the CB’s they tested higher launch and better spin for me than AP2’s. The scoring clubs in that set are the best I have ever hit (8,9,& PW) I…

It is standard, common practice to oil some putters and wedges as a preservative. I can’t imagine any performance altering affect on the clubs.
Any residue would be gone with the first divot.

I kept my 4 and 5 hybrids from my previous set and went with AP3s 6 iron to PW. Club head speed increased by 2 mph. Really easy to hit.

Also agree with Josh's comments. I carry an 816 Hybrid 3-iron and a 718 T-MB 2-iron. The hybrid launches much higher and is more forgiving. The 2-iron is a lower, penetrating flight that rolls forever and is great for punch shots.

As each manufacturer has their own system to designate flex the only answer to your question is to get fitted to determine shafts to fit your swing.
