This is a long but factual experience. I got my test balls about 2 months ago. Finally had a chance to put them to the launch monitor. cally chrome soft, last year prov 1 and 1x, birdgstone 330s, tm tp all were used with a Bang storm 9.5 GD TOUR AD GPS 45 1/2 short and sweet all specs on new "test" v 200 rpm less LA 16*, 5.7 yards L of c. And 10 to 12 yards longer than any other ball. Take it for what it's worth but they did something to the new ball.

I'm a bit surprised at the big difference you saw. But acknowledge the launch monitor is a more accurate measure compared to my own testing. The one problem I have with the testing program is the balls come to me later in October. Here in Wisconsin, October doesn't lend the most ideal weather conditions. I played the test ball side by side with Pro V1's in my bag, but it was cold and damp. I didn't detect any noticeable difference between the test and regular ball, except that I thought the test ball felt softer. Even a bit mushy. A big deal for me is how the ball reacts in the chipping game. The ball bit like I expect it to, so no difference in the ball I've been playing. Distance off the tee and from the fairway was similar.

I've used the test 1x but used the test Pro-V1 test at the Invitational, and it was surprisingly long compared to previous Pro-V1 and its feel around the greens worked well for me. So my feel compares to your launch monitor results.

I have been playing the ProV1 since it first came out. I did not test this new version, but have heard nothing but good things about it. I am looking forward to putting it in play as soon as my pro receives his first shipment. Every time I get an urge to try another ball, my wife reminds me of all the success I have had with the ProV1. So, I settle down and go hit more good shots with the ProV1.

Lots of on-site reps, advertisements on TV and in print about ball fitting these days. Surely it's important and I appreciate the test balls for trial. I'll remain loyal to the Titleist brand as there's plenty of aggressive competition out there. It gets extremely technical for a 14 handicap. Currently use the NXT Tour Soft for feel around the greens and was given the Pro V1X sample to try for better trajectory??? Trying to make some since of it all. Thanks
