  1. I am an older (55) high handicapper (17) and I usually play a srxn Qstar. What ball in the titleist line would match up as well or hopefully better than the Qstar? My swing speed is low-mid 90's. Driver distance 200.

  2. I have personally tried all of the Titleist balls and a few of the other brands. I get good distance out of the Velocity but lose feel around the greens. As previously stated in other ball posts It is preferred to start with the feel around the green and work your way back toward the tee when selecting a ball. With that said, as a price point ball with feel I like the Tour Soft ball. If I am playing course that has very little trouble I will play the premium AVX ball. I always come back to the Titleist feel in their softer cover balls. They just perform better on and around the greens.

Try the Titleist Tour Soft or the DT TruSoft.

DT Truesoft, Velocity, and Tour Soft are all non-urethane or non-tour balls. Can’t guess which would match the characteristics of the Q ball. If you have a home course with a pro you can talk to, that person can suggest something that best matches your game. And have some sleeves you can buy to compare.

Purchase a sleeve of ProV1’s. Play them for 18 holes and note the feel and control from 100 yards in. My bet is that you will realize it is the best ball for you. If are serious about golf, the price will be worth every penny to you. Play well and enjoy yourself.
