I went to a Titleist golf fitting at Plaza Golf yesterday, and the Titleist representative Jack was very helpful.

He first asked me what golf ball I currently use (I play with a ProV1 mostly but use a ProV1X sometimes). He had me warmed up my swings and after a few shots, he analyzed my shots with 7 iron and driver between ProV1 and ProV1X using TRACKMAN.

Jack went through my good shots and list different categories to compare the 2 balls such as launch angle, spin rate, ball height, etc.

We determined that the ProV1X is a better ball for me as it delivers better spin that I like with my iron and chip shots.

It was a great experience :)

    Thanks Jack.

Numbers don't lie. Going through the ball fitting process helps to finalize our decision about which ball we should play.

Never been to a ball fitting but I'm hopeful to try someday. Glad the results worked out well for you and that the ball you play is the right one. One less variable in a very complicated game!

Yep Gary, I knew for some time that I needed to make the switch but liked the softer feel of the ProV1. Went to the Short Game Experience at Pinehurst this spring and they did TrackMan ball fittings. Sure enough, the ProV1x was by far, the ball I needed to play. Took a while to adjust to the feel, especially on putts but glad I did it. Getting much better results these days.
