Well - That was a short summer ! At the beginning of last week we were wearing coats with temps hovering around 8 degrees. Then starting Friday the temperatures got close to 30 right through to Tuesday evening. Today the high is only 11. Interesting to see such huge swings in the weather. Regardless of the extra need to figure out what to wear on the course, it is great to be out on the links. Still the beginning of the season and all I see out there are smiles and a lot of people laughing and having a great time. One side benefit of having the weather changes, I have had opportunities to see how different balls react to the weather. I tries the Titleist AVX, ProV1, and ProV1x. Still a toss up between all three so more experimentation is needed. I guess I will have to get out and play more golf !

There’s a reason so many Canadians are homeowners or renters here in the Phoenix area. They get all-year golf this way.
  3. I have 31 rounds in so far. It’s not the temperature that is frustrating, it’s the 40k winds.

Don’t expect a lot of sympathy. Here in the Upper Midwest US, I’ve worn shorts to fleece lined pants with 2 layers. I’ve been to central CA when it was colder there than at home.
Just don’t think i wouldn’t play anyway. It’s golf. But I always play the same ball. The biggest factor is layering. Temperatures from 4C to 25C impacts all solid core balls to the same %.
