I was fitted for my new MB712s this past Saturday, the Titleist rep said I needed my irons 1/2 inch short with a 1 degree flat lie. He didn't  have any demo wedges to fit me with but I've got a good idea which ones to use with my set. My question is should I order my new wedges with same shaft and set up as my irons?

I would say an emphatic yes! I also recommend t the same model of shaft in your most lofted wedge and go one flex softer...so for an S300, I'd go R300.  Project X 5.5, I'd go 5.0.

ryan, would you please explain your reasoning. i have s300 in my ap2 710 irons, going to purchase the new smr wedges but i was thinking s300 in my gap and sw with spinner shaft in the lob wedge. thank you

Very nice, the Dynamic Gold Spinner wedge is definitely softer flex and feels heavier than a typical wedge shaft.

The main rationale, without a going into a thesis on the short game, is that the scoring wedge swing is very different than other swings used for irons, fairways, drivers.  The scoring wedge swing is about precision and the dynamic forces on the shaft, I believe, simply require something softer to enhance precision, feel and confidence.
