I just ordered a Bassara W50 shaft for my Titleist D2 Driver. I ordered it at 45.5 inches long instead of the stock 46. Can you tell me how that changes the playing specs of the driver with respect to torque, kickpoint and swing weight.

    Julio,

Having that shaft 1/2" over our standard 45" won't have any real effect to the torque or kickpoint since we butt cut for length and follow normal tipping recommendations.  The swing weight will play close to 2-3 swing weight points heavier then standard, since the club is 1/2" longer then standard.

Thanks for the info. Actually the Bassara W50 is stock 46 inches for the D2 so I am getting it 1/2 less than standard.

I have not noticed any change in playing characteristics with the W50 at 45.5". Since the shaft weight is much lighter, it will not impact the swingweight much at +1/2".
