  1. Hello All. I am thinking of ordering 3 vokey sm4 oil can wedges. My irons are razr x with DG S300's. My PW is 44 degree loft. I was thinking of ordering the 48 deg with 8 degree bounce. The 54 with 14 degree bounce with sole grind full and the 58 with 9 degree bounce sole grind S.Im in between sweeper and digger depending on the shot i have to pull off. I am opting for the 58 degree instead of 60 beacuse i can control it better on full aproach shots. Im thinking of getting the kbs hi rev stiff shafts. Does this seem like a good setup ? Any suggestions or any info would be greatly appreciated. (Becoming a Titleist fan really fast getting rid of my cleveland wedges and possibly going to go with the 910f also. The R11 driver Im still debating wether or not to go with a new custom shaft in it because the stock blur 60 makes me feel like im losing distance and accuracy or scrapping it for a 910D2)Thanks Dave.

First off...go for the SM4's!  Best wedges I've played.  Regarding bounce, that's a personal thing but in my case for the 58 degree, I opted for 6 degrees of bounce to allow for flop shots.

Do you like the feel and trajectory of the DG S300's?  If so, I would probably recommend DG Spinners.  Personally, I am a KBS guy.  I play the KBS Tour in my AP2 irons and Hi-Revs in my SM4's.  I like the feel and the performance much better than that of DG...but...in my experience it's important to keep a consistant feel throughout the set and I'm afraid that S300's in your irons and Hi-Rev's in your wedges would throw off your feel.

I think the 910D3 is probably a better comparison to the R11, but either way I understand wanting to get rid of the stock Blur.  I don't care for that shaft at all. Just go get fitted properly and you'll be much happier with your driver.  Good luck!

Since you're going to invest some money in your scoring clubs, it may be a good idea to get fitted so that you have the proper gapping for the distances of your clubs. Wedges should be fit to hit precise distances, and since your pitching wedge is so strong you should look for a specific distance on your next club, roughly 10-15 yards, and so on. Also, you may want to take a moment to consider which grind you want. Since you're in between a digger and slider, you might want to try the M grind. I play M grinds on my wedges and have pretty good control out of the sand. My sand wedge is 54* bent to 53* and my lob is 60* bent to 58, both 3 degrees flat so that I can get under the ball with ease. And with the M grind I can pivot the face open or closed off the heel. Just some things to consider. But SM4's are definitely the way to go. The spin around the greens are fantastic. Good luck!

  5. Thanks for the info. I will get fitted.
