i have a question regarding shafts for wedges. i recently ordered some new SM4 wedges and got the same project x 6.0 shaft on them as i do my irons. do players usually get a different type of shaft for there wedges? i do notice that Rory plays same project x on both irons and wedges but was wondering from another opinion. i got the same lie angle at 1 degree up and i also bent my wedges 1 degree strong so they are now 51 55 59 and love them!

It all depends on each player...on YOUR game. Some people prefer to use the same shaft throughout their irons and wedges. Some people prefer a softer shaft for their wedges because it could allow them to gain a higher launch and more spin, say, with a lob wedge. I've mentioned something like this in a similar thread, but...I've fitted a guy once who had DG X-100 shafts in his irons, S-400 shafts in his 52* and 56*, but, had an R-200 in his 60*. Wedge fitting is very important. See if you can find an authorized Titleist fitter near you and give them a call. They'll fit you properly for your short game.

i currently have tm tour preferred irons with project x 6.0 shaft with a 1 degree up lie angle and just recently i ordered the new sm4 wedges at 52, 56, 60 and had them bent at 1 degree strong so the gaps are no more than 4 degrees apart and got the project x 6.0 on those with 1 degree up on the lie... didnt get them fitted like i did my driver and fairway metals. i have played 1 round so far with them and like them. after reading some posts im starting to wonder if i did wrong by having them bent strong and or the shaft selection.. thoughts?

I remember reading somewhere that your wedges should have more flexibility than your irons..for purposes of feel...don't take my word for it though, let be of the professionals answer
