Using a right handed Shaft on a Left Handed 910 D2

  1. I recently had a new 910 D2 built.  The place I bought it did not have the left handed shaft in stock and of course I was in a hurry.  They told me they could put in the Right Handed shaft with no issues to the settings.

However after trying to hit it, I find that it seems nowhere near the flight characteristics of the dmeo club.

Could this Right Handed shaft be causing issues?

    Thanks

We can only guess until somebody from Titleist really answers this question.  But I would think that they don't manufacture left handed shafts... they would be basically the same, its the heads that are different.  The only concern is the "sleeve setting".

If you would look at the performance guide chart, the standard setting for right is A-1 and D-4 for left. Then A-3 (most draw) for both and C-1 (most fade) for both as well.

There are volumes of information on what I don't know about shafts, but I've never seen a fitter spend time searching a cart for the left handed shaft.  Left handed heads, OMG, yes.  I always thought it was the same shaft and that's why the adjustment tables for the sinister of us are the mirror image of the right handed settings.  I've caught fitters on adjusting based on the right-handed settings, but using the left-handed table works.

I do not think there is a shaft for right versus left. The surefit sleeve uses different settings depending on right or left hand, but it is the same sleeve.

The shafts for right and left handers are the same. The settings positions are different. D4 is the standard setting for a left hander.
