  1. Went to a demo day a couple days ago. I tried and loved the 909D3 with the stock aldila voodoo 73X. Before I tried the D3 I tried a 909D2 with a UST proforce V2 Stiff 75 shaft and I liked the feel of it but it was way too high launch for me not because of the shaft but the D2 head. I want to buy the 909D3 with the UST proforce V2 75X shaft. I looked at the titleist website and compared the stock aldila voodoo to the proforce v2.

    Aldila voodoo for titlest:
    Torque- 3.3
    Flex point- mid/high
    Trajectory- low/mid

    UST Proforce V2:
    Torque- 2.2
    Flex point- mid/high
    Trajectory- low/mid

The flex points and trajectories are the same but the torque is the only thing that's different. I'll definitely try this at the store before I buy it but I'd like to know what kind of differences or similarities there would be between the two shafts. I have somewhat fast tempo to my swing so that's why I really liked the proforce v2 when I tried it on the D2. I play a proforce v2 in my 3 wood so I love the feel and look of the shaft. Unfortunately the rep only had the stiff flex, the only X flex shafts he had were the stock voodoo and diamana.
Any input would be helpful, Thanks

  2. Hi Joe -

You are on the right track and it sounds like you have a preference between the Titleist VooDoo and the UST V2 (assuming you were testing the 75).  The spec information you posted is correct and a main difference in the shafts is the torque.  Being that the V2 75 is lower in torque and 3 grams heavier in weight it should produce a lower launch and lower spin than the Titleist VooDoo.  The UST V2 is designed to handle a faster tempo swing.

  3. Thank you, based on what your reply I placed an order at my local shop for a 909D3 with a UST Proforce V2 76X
