I currently have the TM r7's, but two of them have broken in th last month at a very steep cost too fix. So, if another one breaks I'm going to get new irons, and i'd like to get into some AP's. I am 16 years old and i shoot in the 70's to low 80's. I also play/practice everyday. I figured the Ap 2's would be better, but i wanted to see what you guys though. I still plan on getting fitted though. Thanks!

AP2's sound like a pretty good match in comparison to the r7's. The two irons seem to favor each other, and with your handicap I think you would really like them. If you like blades at all you should check out the CB's as well. I have hit them and they felt awesome. Just another option for you. I completely agree on getting fit, I did and have never regreted it. -Austin

APs are just about the best irons ever. Get yourself fitted ---- I cant say that strongly enough. I did and Bada Bing love my new APs. I know a lot of guy's mixing their sets AP1 in the long irons and AP2 thru the rest of the bag. I think that is a GREAT idea.  But again GET FITTED

    Good Luck In your quest

I've just hit them last weekend, and I really like them. They seem to be great clubs.

    Tyler,

Definitely get fit as the others have mentioned.  This will allow you not only to see which head (AP1, AP2 or other) you like but also just as importantly which shaft is best for you.  A combo set of AP1 long irons and AP2 mid/short irons is also a great suggestion.  It will all come down to what produces the best results for you.  Get fit and enjoy it!  If you can get fit outside so you can see the ball flight even better.
