I went last week (6/25/20) to have a Titleist Thursday fitting. Had a great time with Brian Langais. He was very good but was having issues with his Ipad but we got through the fitting in good shape and great data for new Irons. I hit all 3 T100-T300 along with different shafts. I currently play 716 AP1's with STD loft & lie & XP90 R300 shafts.

Once we got some quality numbers and locked into a setup (here is the confusion part) he said he would email my results & the course Pro so if & when I wanted to order he would have my numbers & what I needed. He sent me an email the next day (friday evening) as he was still having Ipad issues.

The email I got said: T200 5-PW (48) AMT Black S300 shaft, 1/2 longer Standard loft & lie.

I do know we went 1/2" longer but we also went 2 degrees up on the clubs. I have not heard back from Brain as I told him I thought we decided on 2 degrees up. The course is not holding anymore Titleist Thursdays so I won't be able to re-hit. Plus since I work 3pm - 1:30am I have to take time off work just to go get fitted. I don't know of any other Titleist Thursdays near me in Wichita either...

Not sure how this will end as there is now a discrepancy on what clubs truly fit me best. I guess I'll have to see how Brian thinks we should proceed with it.

Kind of disappointed, really liked the T200's but want to be sure it's the right setup

Has anyone else had this issue? If so how did it get taken care of?

Have not had the same experience as you. It's unfortunate that it happened. After my last fitting my fitter immediately texted me the results he had from the fitting, while I was there talking with him.

That's the way it went when I got fitted for my 716 AP1's (at the same course), which I ordered through Golf Headquarters.

This time if you did a TT fitting the course was giving a special price for those who attended & ordered through them. So he has what my fitter sent me, but I don't know & he doesn't know if it is correct. So I'm not going to order anything until I'm sure.

Well I hope you get it all sorted out with the correct specs for ordering your new irons.
  5. If you remember him recommending 2*up then I would go with that, it is very possible he made a clerical error (they do a lot of fittings) - if you are +1/2" i am guessing you are tall (or taller than average) and if your posture is also tall and have a "handle high" position at address then i would say 2*up sound right. Also if your miss is a push/fade a little more upright can help.

I was his first one of the day, but his Ipad was having problems throughout the fitting.

He had me hitting a 1/2" longer & 2 degree up at the end of the session with the T300 & T200 and he commented how much better the ball location was on the face & on the sole how the marks had moved more toward center of the sole. Then he had me hit a few more shots with another setting with the T200 & T300. So I'n not 100% we were going with 2 degrees up, 1/2" I can handle but I'm only 6'0" tall. 8 years ago I had clubs fitted at 1/4" longer & 2 degrees up, but 4 years ago my 716's were fitted standard lie & length. I have not heard back from him now going on 11 days.

I contacted the course pro Wednesday to see if he could get in touch with him. He said he would try.

So to close this out. No one ever got back with me on my clubs. Pro or fitter. The fitting was done June 25th.
So I went and got my AP1 716's lengthened and bent 2 degrees up. Problem solved. Shot 85 with them with a 38 (+3) on the back 9.
