Today while I was being fitted for the TSi3 I was hitting off some pretty wet ground. In turn I reduced my speed off of how I usually hit the ball so I don’t slip in some of the mud after consecutive shots in front of the trackman. The current driver I have is an x stiff project x even flow 6.5 because my usual clubhead speed is in between 107-110. While I was fitted it was between 101-105 because of the conditions. As a result I was fitted for a tour AD XC in stiff. I noticed on the shaft manufacturer website that xstiff is recommended past 105 mph. Should I spring for the X stiff or just the stiff?

One caveat... my fitter moved me off the track man to a dry spot, but that spot was uphill of the trackman so we couldn’t get data. He had me hit a ball hard so he could see what the setup would do. The ball went high and straight just like the other balls while I had to watch my footing. What are some thoughts/opinions on this? Thanks!

  2. Did he have the XC in an extra stiff for you to try? I would schedule another fitting. I have tried the TSi3 with all of the featured shafts (have yet to try the premium) i am about 106-108mph with a relatively slow tempo so i was considering a heavier stiff (currently play Diamana 'ahina 70 X) at 42yo i was thinking maybe its time to drop down to a stiff. I tried the 75 S and the 65 X in the tensei raw white (could not control the tensei blue at all- way lighter than i am used to) i settled on the 65 X mainly due to a little stiffer tip and stability - dispersion was tighter and the hard miss left was eliminated. Distance was identicle, but the X just felt better. I have a fitting coming up with pre
