I have a set of AP1's and a set of AP2's.  The AP1's have the project X 6.0 shaft and the AP2's have the Project X 5.5 shaft.

    I have a set of Project X 4.0 tapered tip 355 iron shafts 4-PW.

I was wondering which set to put the 4.0 shafts in?  I'm 67 years old and my swing speed had deterriated some and was hoping to swing easier, with the lighter shaft, and still get some distance with the club.  Will I benifet more by putting the 4.0 shaft into the AP1's or the AP2's?

The AP2's are a more forgiving head, plus they are more offset. The offset will help you get the ball in the air more easily especially if you are losing some swing speed.

I think ksprecher meant to say the AP1's are more forgiving.  I would advise finding a Titleist Fitter in your area so you can test different shaft and club heads.

Might be other options out there that will provide more of what you need.

Thanks.  That might be the way I should go.

But how is the 4.0 Project X shaft going to affect the clubs playing compared to the Project X 6.0 shafts that were in there when I got them. My swing speed is about 90. Am I better off with the stiffer shaft or the lighter shaft?

Are the 6.0's standard length or longer? If so I will buy the shafts off of ya if your decide to go that route.
