    hello all

well im currently using a 252.08 i believe it is and have put the lie tape on the sole ,which resulted in pretty much centre of the sole hits on half shots maybe just very sligthly to the back ,now the problem i have is i have a 56 deg with 13 bounce from another brand and this hits more on the back off the sole with the lie tape so please bare with me,im going to change this and buy a new 56 deg and 60 deg vokey wedges ,so what sort of bounce should i go for.im very confused as there is no proper titleist fitter here in iceland and all the shops stock is basic to say the least, and i dont really fancy a plane journey for a fitting, also what sort of width oh  my head hurts, please give me some sort of guidance, the course is pretty much firm, not alot of rain, and the roughs not that bad tbh,the shafts i got measured for in my irons where  the nippon 850gh shafts

I am not sure why you will be talking about bounce angle with the lie tape/angle.  Nonetheless, if you are sweeper and play in firm course, you should get some low bounce wedge.  I am a sweeper and play firm courses and I do not ever have anything beyond 8* bounce.  On the condition that you have, definitely look into the 60.04 from titleist.  Another thing you can do is to bend a 58* to 56* if you can't find a low bounce 56*.  Generally 1* stronger take 1* bounce away.

In terms of the lie angle tape, I will suggest you not to use it rather use a newer method of hitting a marked ball and try to check your lie.  The lie angle tape may be deceiving and not accurate dependent on how you impact the ball.  Hope this helps!

thanks for the message.the tape was for to see where im impacting the sole for bounce purposes only ,and the results with my 8 degre bounce club was near on centre yet my 10 plus degree  clubs where where contacting in the centre but right on the back edge if that makes sense ,so i figured i i should stick around 8 deg bounce,

Start your search by reading all about Vokey wedge options on  the site.  Very interesting reading.  Your bounce questions are explained by Vokey himself.

Tells you which one is for your specific conditions.  Hope this helps.

    Hi Nicholas:

What course do you play in Iceland?  Thank that's awesome!

It definitely sounds like you need at least low to medium bounce wedges for firm, tundra-like conditions.

I play a lot of courses, and since I don't want to buy 3 sets of wedges, my fitter told me "you can't go wrong with medium".

It's always better to get fit, but, in your snenario...

Mr. Vokey was on here a while back and answered questions related to bounce...check this out: http://www.titleist.com/teamtitleist/b/tourblog/archive/2010/11/16/bob-vokey-your-questions-answered-part-iii.aspx ... It should be the second question down.

Here's a listing of some of the Vokey's available. It'll show you the swing type that a specific wedge was made for: http://www.vokey.com/wedges/detail.aspx?id=19 ... While you're on there, check out the F.A.Q's and other areas of the site.

Hopefully, you'll find the right wedge for your game. Good luck!
