I just bought a 10.5 degree 910 D2 with a stiff RIP 60 shaft. I want to get the 910 FD fairway wood 3 wood. I like the RIP shaft i have on the driver. When i order a fairway wood would I want to get the heavier RIP shaft or stay with the 60g? Thanks

You definitely want to get the 70 or 80 gram fairway shaft. Shaft weights should be progressively heavier from driver to wedge to maintain balance and feel.

Is that a bad idea to go with the same shaft but at a heavier weight. I havent hit the shaft in the 3 wood cause i cant find any titleist fitter that has both the head and that certain shaft in stock for demo. I went thru 5 or 6 different shafts on the driver and the RIP 60 was the best fit. thanks

My experience has been that if you like the shaft in one club you will like it in another. I agree that you should go with the heavier shaft for the fairway wood. I have been very impressed with the RIP shaft
