I'm starting the process of getting fitted for new irons... still need to decide on CB or AP2.

I have always played DG S300 but i'm interested in trying some other options.

I see the CB or AP2 listed at D2 swing weight with DG.

My question is how does Titleist even out or adjust swing weight for "all" the various shaft options?

As an example Dynamic gold SL are 20% lighter etc.

    Cheers,

    Bryan

I wouldn't worry too much about the swing weights - it has NO affect on ball flight. Testing that I am aware of showed us that there was no

difference in ball flight when as much as 8 swing weight points were tested.  If its a feel thing for you then so be it, but there will be no affect  on ball flight.

    Bryan,

The difference between the Dynamic Gold S300 compared to the Dynamic Gold SL is just 1 swingweight (D2 - S300 & D1 - SL)  However, the overall clubweight will be over 15 grams lighter due to the lighter shaft.  Talked to Titleist Custom Club Dept. and their tolerance is 1 swingweight with the different shafts, but overall clubweight will vary which will effect ball launch, feel, and ball spin based on shaft selected.

Also forgot to mention on last post that the swingweight differences were based on comparing same length shafts.  A longer or shorter shaft from standard specs will have much more of an effect on swingweight than a different shafts.

Thanks for the info Gator I appreciate it even if you are a Steelers fan.  ( Cowboys fan here )

1 swing weight pt will not be missed just wanted to make sure it was not too drastic.

Most likely I play standard length.

    Thanks again,

    Bryan
