I went through the fitting process today for a new Titleist driver. The process was simply fantastic. Larry at Hyde Park CC here in Cincy, used the launch monitor and computer to make sure I got the best driver for my swing. I hit the ball high with a lot of spin, so his focus was on getting a low launch, low spin driver without sacrificing distance. My old driver I was launching around 12 degrees and had over 4200 RPM, with 98 MPH club head speed and 140 MPH ball speed. When I was done, I was fit for the 910 D3 8.5 with a Diamana 'Ahina 72, X-Flex. My Launch was around 11.5 with 104 club head speed, 148 MPH ball speed,  and 3000 RPM. Plus, I gained about 12 yards in distance.

My previous driver fittings were basically trying different drivers with various shafts on a range and watching the ball flight. This was way more fun and very cool. Thanks Larry (I know you read these) for your help and taking the time to make sure I got the right club.

Now, every club in my bag (except my putter) is Titleist once again.

Very nice!  What setting did you settle on?

Thanks, Ryan. We tried a couple different settings and finally settled on A1 as the best for me. Though, with my tendency to hook the ball, I could see opening the face up a tad in the future. That is why I really liked the D3 driver, the adjustability of the club, and the fact that I could easily switch the shaft if needed.

Very nice.  You don't necessarily need to go open, you can also try B-1...that's a little flatter at the same loft.

    All about the options!
