You should consider the Titleist Diamana iLLima shafts. They are the burnt orange Diamana shafts and are pretty fantastic. They weigh around 60 grams and come in a variety of soft flexes. Call 888-Titleist and a fitter near you will have them to test and fit.

The assortment of lightweight options is expanding with the addition Titleist Bassara Wyvern family of shafts to our extensive shaft menu. The Titleist Bassara Wyvern shafts are new proprietary ultra-light shafts manufactured by Mitsubishi Rayon Corp. Our R&D team has been working hard to design, test and finalize these shafts and they are an outstanding high performance, high launch, light weight addition to our shaft matrix.
The new shafts carry an upcharge because making a high performance ultra-light shaft requires expensive light weight fibers - specifically a special elastic titanium. To put the weight in perspective, these shafts weigh the same (or less) than a typical grip.
We will offer the following shafts:
These shafts will be available at our Advanced FittingWorks Centers and at Titleist Fitting Days starting in August.

Hi Brett and Ryan - I'm getting full-bag fitted at an Advanced FittingWorks Center in a couple of weeks - July 23rd - which is a week shy of an August release of the new Bassara shafts to the centers, if they are released around the beginning of August. I'm female and have an 85mph swing speed, and am looking toward my first major upgrade of equipment - I've only been playing for 2 years, but take weekly lessons and am working pretty hard at improving my game. I'm just wondering if you'd suggest postponing the fitting until August because I will most likely be fit for an A or R flex (according to my instructor) and the new Bassara shafts would offer an additional option to try? Are the shafts expected to be released in the beginning of the month or toward the end?
thanks, Heidi
Hi Heidi!
Brett will have the exact days, but maybe you can break your fitting schedule into a couple of appointments and save the later appointment for the metals. That would give your fitter another followup opportunity to see how your clubs are performing from the initial fitting.
Glad you are choosing Titleist to enhance your game!
Thanks Ryan - that's a great idea about breaking up the fitting schedule. The Fitting Center isn't at my club and I wanted to purchase the clubs from my instructor (a Titleist guy), but you've given me something to think about - it's a really good idea. Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens at the fitting. I have a used AP1 6-iron with an S300 Dynamic Gold HL shaft in it that's actually become my favorite club even though it's probably too heavy - I do hit it very well, though, so who knows. Just another reason to get properly fitted. :)
Thanks again, Heidi
