Ft-9 Tour 8.5 with Diamana Whiteboard 73s tipped 0.5 inches. Playing length 44.75. Loved the combo, did not like looking down at the head
Flightscope # from fitting in 2010
    SS: ave 104
    Ball Speed: ave. 150.4
    Back spin: 2675

Wanted a smaller heads so replaced it with:

FT Tour 8.5 with Matrix Ozik x-con 6 tipped 0.5" playing length 44.75" Factory built to D3: This thing is my canon! But I didn't feel like I could get it to draw when I wanted it too. So I assumed the 1.5 open face was the cause. Never hit flightscope with club, BUT felt hotter than Ft-9. Gets up quickly and just hangs in the air. Really love the flight of high flat trajectory. I just bought the 910 because I thought having an 0.5* open face would allow me to hit the high draw I wanted. Real play numbers felt that I could get a good 265 carry with the FT Tour.

NEWEST TO ME AND 1st Titleist Product I bought!

910 D3 9.5 with Diamana WB 73s straight in playing 44.5" with blue 9g weight.
No flightscope #'s. Played 2 rounds. Played around with settings but for the majority played it a A1.

Compared to FT Tour the 910 flight started lower, ballooned, and dropped on average 20 yds. shorter that the ball I hit my Ft Tour with.

WHAT IS THE CAUSE FOR THE BACKSPIN of my D3 vs. my Ft Tour?

Is is the 910 D3 head? LOFT? WB shaft? or the Head and Shaft Combo?

HELP!!! I want to keep my 910 driver and 3w combo I got for my B-day!!!!

I would say indeed, it's a loft issue and possible face depth differences.  The low riser you describe in the post seems most likely caused by teeing it too low for the 910D3. Since I know you want to keep the head, I would experiment in the C-1 and D-2 settings.   These are the extreme flat and upright settings at 8.75 loft.  Tee it a little higher, observe the flight and let us know what happens.

Ryan, Another Forum member made a suggestion that due to my angle of attack, I may find a difference of up to 500 RPM backspin decrease switching to an 8.5 head. Can there be that much of a difference in Backspin if I switched lofts? What would the difference be in an 9.5 set to 8.75 VS. an 8.5 head set to A1? Can you recommend a specific Head and shaft just in case I start from scratch:)? Thanks so much for the response. I will try those settings.

Yes, there's potential to decrease the spin that dramatically.  Especially if you can hit the top half of the face!

The only difference would be that the the 9.5 set at lower loft sets more open at address.  Stock 8.5 in the Steak sauce (A-1) will look more square.

I wouldn't recommend a head and shaft to start from scratch...I'd say go get fit!  Most likely you can swing a good deal for a shaft switch quite easily.  Heads are a little more expensive.
