Fittingworks Tour Van vs. Fitting Day

  1. Which is a better or more in depth fitting process?  What are the costs associated with each? I assume they will be making clubs to your spec off the Tour Van, are these clubs sold at regular MSRP or the list price they seem to be selling for at most repuatble retailers?

    I've tried calling the contacts listed for each of the events but nobody seems to know anything or they aren't returning phone calls.

    A fitting day is a 20-30 minute quick fit to give you an idea of what works best for you and to answer any questions you might have. -  a more 'in depth' demo day with one on one time with our Tech rep.  They are free fits (although you need an appointment) and you will be able to purchase equipment at the course.  The pricing will depend on the course.

    Our two FittingWorks Tour Vans have two of our best Titleist fitters, a trackman launch monitor, a club builder and 300+ shafts in each van.  The fitter will spend 1-3 hours with you fitting your equipment depending on what you have scheduled.  The cost is $150 per hour with fitting for the entire bag (minus putter) taking about two-three hours.  If you wish to purchase the equipment, our builder will build the equipment to your fitting specs and you can take it that day (on some occasions, the next day).  The appointments are usually made through the course and the pricing also depends on the course.

  3. Well, I went to the fitting day at Peacock Gap.  I was there at 10am and stayed around the range until 11:30. Titleist  NO SHOW.  Very disappointing.

  5. I am the happy new owner of a 910D2 9.5* with Mitsubishi Rayon JAVLNFX M8. -2".  Setting D3.  The new driver is .5" shorter than my current, a few grams heavier in the shaft, and with the D3 setting -0.25* of loft. Oh, and set to 1.5* more upright. Some fairly big changes!

    I got he Tour Van fitting experiences with Eric and will say it was worth every penny.  Eric was a total professional balancing my needs/wants with potential. The driver feels great and I'm positive the results  will echo that as well.

    Does the Tour Van ever come out to the East Coast (Georgia)?

    At this time, we have two FittingWorks Vans and they are based in California and Texas.  Both do occasionally go to the East coast to support Tour events and the PGA show.  This past January, both were doing Team Titleist fittings in Florida, but did not venture north of there.  They are looking into bringing the Vans into different areas, but have not made any decisions as to where might be the best places.  As a Team Titleist member, we will let everyone know if we are travelling outside our normal route.  Right now, you can take a look at part of the Van schedule at:  http://www.fittingworks.com/FindaFitter.aspx?tab=4
