Hi, I am looking for the best shaft option for a 910f 17 degree. I hit the ball straight and high....I want to continue to hit all my clubs higher vs. lower (It gives me more confidense). Driver, 910D2, Stiff- Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana 'ilima 61 shaft(105mph swing speed). Hybird, 910H, Stiff- Mitsubishi Rayon Diamana Kai'li 80 shaft. 6 Iron, Stiff, Project-X 5.5, 92 mph swing speed. Could anyone tell me what 910f 17 degree shaft option that is the best to match the shafts that I am currently using in my 910D2 and 910H? By the way, I LOVE my 910D2 and 910H!!! Thank you, Ryan A

I would probably have test the Titleist Kaili 75 in the 910F 17 and see what the numbers say.  We would be looking for a good gap.

Thanks for the response! ...looking for a good gap? are you saying a gap betweeen the hybrid and 4 wood? I have recently been thinking about getting fitted for the 15 deg 3 wood, ,stiff, 'ilima 71 for starters. If I dont like that shaft(numbers) I can try the Kai'li 75 shaft. If the gap between my driver and 15 deg 3 wood arent far enough, then I can increase the loft in the 15 deg 3 wood- I cant increase the loft in the 17 deg 4 wood without closing the club face...and that worries me. Do you think I am on the right track of thinking? Thanks again, Ryan

In my little world, you want to be able to hit the three wood almost as far as the driver.  Make it easier to hit off the deck, and have a bit more spin that stops on a Par 5 green.  You shouldn't try to perfectly gap the difference, you still want maximum three wood distance.

So, let's say you carry a driver 250...I'm trying to get as close to that as possible with a smidge more launch and spin.  If we get 240 yards...with the right launch and spin...three wood is perfect.

Then let's say you have a par three that's 225.  We'll focus on the right trajectory.

We'll keep going with a 10-15 yard gap until we are happy with the longest iron.

As far as the choices, the heads in the correct position will make more of a difference than a shaft.  Once we find a shaft that feels right, I'd be changing the heads/settings until we have perfect numbers.
